Howarth Bespoke is seeking to hire a full time Furniture Maker to support our growing business. The ideal candidate will work as part of a team, to design and make high-end furniture and products. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about developing and learning new skills, and someone who possesses strong problem-solving abilities, can adapt to various working environments, and is self-motivated.

ABOUT US

At Howarth Bespoke we aim to design and create exceptional, heirloom quality furniture - all designed and handcrafted in-house in our studio and workshop in Newton Aycliffe. We work with private clients, architects, interior designers and others across the UK. From classic to contemporary designs, to unique ideas - we work hard to elevate living and working spaces with our handmade pieces of furniture, which can be free standing, built in and architectural. Our skilled team of designers and makers bring their passion and expertise to each piece of furniture, seamlessly blending traditional woodworking techniques with

modern design elements.

Reports to: Director

Location: Howarth Bespoke, Newton Aycliffe

Working hours: 37 .5 hours per week (across a 5 day working week, 9-5pm, Monday - Friday) 

Time Off In Lieu system

Occasional travel for install and/or delivery of furniture will be required (in these cases travel expenses will be covered at 45p per mile.)

Holiday entitlement: 28 days including bank holidays

Salary: £26,000 per annum

Contract type: Full-time, permanent, 6 month probationary period
